Thinking of starting a business? Always wanted to work for yourself? Our speaker this month, MaryAnne Gucciardi '84, will share three tests to determine if your idea will be profitable and sustainable, especially in today’s economy. You’ll learn about embracing conflict, doing the hard work of self-awareness and the power of why.

MaryAnne is an advocate for women and girls and has worked as a fundraiser, strategic marketer and entrepreneur. She is CEO and Founder of Dragonwing girlgear, an e-commerce firm that specializes in sports base layer for teen and tween athletic girls and CMO of Old Peak Finance, a fee-only certified financial planning firm that specializes in busy professionals and business owners. In addition to her Wellesley degree, MaryAnne earned an MBA at Harvard Business School.

Key takeaways from this session:

  • How to calculate if your product, content or service is sustainably profitable
  • Behavior design, gamification and revenue models.
  • Blue Ocean Analysis, disruptive strategy, look for patterns
  • Raising money – when and how and how hard.

Come prepared to gain new insights!
