Fall Community Service Event with CHA Operation Warm
Date: Oct. 26, 2019
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Location: UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Rd., near #8 Halstead and #12 Roosevelt bus stops; there are also many garage parking options in the area. Let us know if you need a ride or are willing to offer one.
The 12th annual CHA Operation Warm event will take place at the UIC Forum and over 3,000 CHA families from nearly every Chicago neighborhood are expected to attend this one-day four-hour event. In addition to receiving coats for their children, a service fair takes place with participating organizations that include corporate sponsors, sister agencies, and local non-profits. Resources include brand new books for kids, on-site flu shots, free groceries, home energy kits, and much more!
We have space for 10 volunteers. Please email communityservice@chicagowellesleyclub.org to reserve a spot and share your t-shirt (unisex) size. Due to the nature of this event, organizers need a firm commitment, so please volunteer only if you plan to attend. Let us know if you are not available for the full event, there is some flexibility in the hours.
