This event is open to all Wellesley College Alumnae!
Join your Wellesley siblings for an entertaining and educational virtual celebration of Black History Month!
We will watch the Muntu Dance Theatre's special performance of a collection of traditional African dances called, "Horoya." Horoya is a selection that represents the joy and jubilation of the freedom story in Malinke, a language spoken in West Africa.
We will also learn about Black History Month and experience the tradition of Oral Culture, partake in some Black History themed trivia and engage in a talk back with the Muntu Dance Troupe.
There is a charge of $30 per person for this event.
We do not want the ability to pay to be a deterrent from attending. If you are a member of the Chicago Wellesley Club and unable to pay for any reason, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org ahead of the event so we can make Spirit Fund options available. There will be an option for Chicago Wellesley Club members in the RSVP form to participate with or without paying for this event.
