This event is open to all Wellesley College Alumnae!

Join us for the CWC Winter Spotlight on Alix Mikesell '88 - "Seeing the Extra in the Ordinary: Contemporary Jewelry and Alternative Materials."

Alix Mikesell is a jewelry designer, entrepreneur and instructor of metalsmithingand jewelry design at College of DuPage. Alix will talk about her evolution as a metalsmith/jeweler and how she came to make jewelry that focuses on creative reuse of alternative materials. She'll discuss the art jewelry world, new ideas of what constitutes value, and share work of contemporary jewelers who inspire her with their clever use of materials.
