Only CWC alumnae please!
Join your fellow CWC Wellesley siblings in an open forum and conversation about the CWC and Race.
Current board members completed over 9 hours of WRJI's intensive anti-racist trainings, which included lessons on micro-aggressions, conscious and unconscious racial bias, and cultural appropriation. Our last session focused on how we can improve the processes and programming of the CWC, and on the responsibilities of each board member to continue the anti-racist work we have begun. We continue to discuss improvements to our policies and procedures at our board meetings and pledge to be a stronger, more inclusive community that values all voices and corrects inequity.
As the first Wellesley alumnae club to participate in anti-racism training sessions, we are proud of what we have learned and accomplished in partnership with WRJI. We recognize, however, that anti-racist work is an ongoing conversation and that the CWC is a work-in-progress. We have scheduled this open forum to provide an opportunity for board members to share our experiences with the WRJI trainings with Club members and answer questions.
