The Chicago Wellesley Club is partnering with the League of Women Voters of Illinois for our fall community service project of getting out the vote for the November 3, 2020 general election. This will be a nonpartisan activity. We ask that you advocate for safe, healthy access to the ballot.
You can start now! Here are the steps:
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org saying "Yes, I'll volunteer for the Get Out the Vote Project."
1. Get ready to vote:
First, check your voter registration and register online: https://illinoisvoterguide.org.
Second, apply for your Vote by Mail ballot: https://www.elections.il.gov/electionoperations/VotingByMail.aspx.
Third, research your ballot. See https://illinoisvoterguide.org. In the Guide, you will find your ballot with carefully researched, nonpartisan information on every candidate.
2. Vote safely: Vote early by mail (requested ballots arrive late September) OR vote early in person (September 24 - November 2) OR vote on Election Day (November 3).
3. Spread the word! Contact at least ten voters in your network and ask each of them to contact ten people.
