After a one year hiatus, the Chicago Wellesley Club is pleased to re-establish our Book Award Program! This year we are partnering with Chicago Public Schools to honor 20-30 female-identifying students in their junior year of high school across the city whose academic record and character are exceptional and who have also made significant personal contributions to their schools and/or communities. The Book Award is a non-monetary acknowledgement of the recipients' hard work. They will receive a book that speaks to the essence of the Wellesley College community and, hopefully, their drive and spirit as they embark on their journey to higher education.
The Alumnae Association is pleased to offer The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience co-authored by Wellesley alum Hillary Rodham Clinton '69 and her daughter, Chelsea Clinton. The book contains portraits of groundbreaking women throughout history and embodies the spirit of Wellesley's mission: to educate women who will make a difference in the world.
The cost of the book is $24.00 per copy. Please click below to donate a book to a deserving young woman and a possible future Wellesley sibling. Thank you for your support!
