Support
Our class of 1960 achieved a record high 63% participation in giving to the College during our Reunion Year 2019-2020!
We have always been a class that comes through to support Wellesley. During this past year when expenses have been so high and income so challenging, we raised record amounts for Wellesley's operating budget. Six years ago we established The Class of 1960 Legacy Fund. This endowed fund, held within the greater Wellesley College Endowment, has already grown to over $280,000. It generates over $12,000 annually which supports the WE Lab, a hands-on introductory engineering course taught by Dr. Amy Banzaert.
This year Dr. Banzaert won the Pinanski Teaching Prize. She was honored for creating an inclusive, equitable environment in the classroom and the lab. Students praised her classes as challenging and invigorating, accessible to future engineers and non-engineers alike, a place to deveop teamkwork skills and creativity.
You can give to Wellesley's general fund for annual expenses. You can designate all or part of your gift for our Class Legacy Fund. You can give to any of the many other important special funds which rely upon your support.
