Kathy Broome Williams, a semi-retired college professor, helped us know more about Grace Hopper, a mathematician by training who became a computer scientist and who rose to be a Rear Admiral in the Navy. Hopper helped propel the Navy into the computer age and, as a civilian, was instrumental in the creation of the COBOL language. Kathy has written a book on Hopper: Grace Hopper: Admiral of the Cyber Sea. 63 classmates attended Kathy's presentation.
