Dear Wellesley 1968 Classmates
I am thrilled to announce that Tish Newman Busselle has agreed to be our 1968 Class Reunion Chair for our 55th reunion! Tish is excited to lead us in developing a fun event where we can relax, refresh and enjoy time with all of our classmates--those we have stayed in contact over the years as well as new friends we may not have crossed paths with before.
You all will have received recent news from the College relating to the 2023 reunion scheduled for May 26-28, 2023 (Note: Memorial Day weekend--earlier than past reunions). Although I am sure we are all glad to hear that a number of the older treasured dorms will be receiving some much needed attention and renovations next summer, this is likely to require some changes to events, venues and lodging for some reunion classes including perhaps the 55th-ours. Rest assured that Tish and I are doing our utmost to encourage the WCAA to give us special consideration in their assignments--yes, even using our age as a rationale ! We think we will know by fall if our request has succeeded--and you'll be the first to know. I am confident with Tish's great organizational skills and her goal to have high participation in planning the event, it will be a "not-to-be-missed" weekend. In Tish's own words:
"As Lynn has written, we're hoping for a weekend where we can relax, refresh and enjoy one another and reconnect with our Wellesley roots--whether they be in the living room, by the lake, in classrooms that we remember, or wandering the campus. I'm looking forward to working with a team to make our 55th special in its own way. I invite any of our classmates who would like to help in any way--large or small--to let me know at email@example.com."
On other matters, Judy Harte's Summer 2022 Class Notes are posted on our website. These class notes include some wonderful reflections on Catharine Wells plus news about grandchildren for Pamela Starr Bromberg and BJ Pearce and news from Marty Garrett living in Sweden assisting Ukrainian refugees.
I am also saddened to share with you the news of two of our classmates who died in March of this year. I have posted copies of the obituaries in new articles on our website page for Barbara Auman Steuert who died on March 8 and Suzanne Sherwood Cane who died on March 29.

And last item for this newsletter but a most important note of appreciation from Susan Little Berry, our Class Annual Fund Representative, "A heart-felt thank you to all who supported Wellesley this past year. Your contribution, whether large or small, helps support amazing students, professors, and the College's first-class educational experience."
Mark May 26-28, 2023 on your calendars!
