Welcome

Welcome

Dear Fellow Alums from the Class of 1975,

Welcome to these pages about our 45th year since graduation. Your class reunion teams had been busy imagining and planning for our time together in June on the campus and had planned to see you all there. However, as you no doubt have realized, we will not be able to gather in person this June.  The College is still weighing many options and waiting to see how the pandemic pans out before determining whether we might be able to have an in-person, campus gathering sometime in the next year or so. As expected at this time, their focus is on how to open and campus for students in a safe manner that will allow them to continue to provide the excellent education experience that is Wellesley.

Without being able to gather in person, the college Alumnae office is planning for several Reunion Weekend events for us to attend virtually!  Keep looking on these tabs for more information about the weekend.

If we do have a chance to gather on campus, this year or next, we hope you will feel welcome and find a reason to make the trip. You can come just to relax and enjoy the beauty of the campus. You might come to renew old friendships or make new ones. You might want to reminisce and laugh about those formative years when we lived and studied together. You might find companions to compare notes about life transitions, or you may just want to immerse yourself in learning something from the College’s vast array of academic offerings during the weekend

Whatever happens, please know that your contributions to the Class Record Book will be shared with the class of '75. Jane Isaacs Fox has done a magnificent job in pulling it together. She said, "I am always eager to learn from the many intelligent, well-educated women I met at Wellesley. I look forward to learning about the transitions they have made, whether it is to well-deserved retirements, new professional and personal choices, worthwhile volunteer opportunities, empty nests, caring for elders or grandchildren, or facing any of the myriad challenges life presents."

We are in the middle of our 5th decade since leaving Wellesley and we all have wisdom to share about our transitions over those decades. The world is a different place and we are different people now from what we were in 1975, but we still share the curiosity that drew us to Wellesley in the first place. We are still curious—Yellow!

Your reunion co-chairs look forward to reconnecting the Class of 1975 ... virtually and, eventually, in person.
