Meet Your Class Officers
Third of a Series
Francine Miltenberger
Class Development Chair
Hi, Everyone!
My name is Francine Miltenberger. I am our class fundraising rep and am looking forward to the strong showing we will make at our 50th reunion. I live in Redwood City, Calif., near San Francisco. My career has been in Consulting and Finance. I am still straddling the work/retirement line but am currently on a pause from work to support my husband in his recovery from spinal surgery.
I have been continually active in Wellesley affairs ever since I graduated, both with our class and with the local Wellesley Clubs. A few years back, the Alumnae Association honored me and my colleague, Mana Uchino (Class of ’83), for our work in developing the Women’s Circle Program, which is active in Northern and Southern California. In addition to Wellesley-focused activities, I have also been active in various Bay Area philanthropic organizations focused on medical and social services.
Since my work life is very left brain oriented, I spend my free time on more creative pursuits such as gardening and cooking. My husband and I enjoy hiking and biking and are big theater buffs. I particularly enjoy exploring the work of new playwrights and have many opportunities to see those works here in the Bay Area.
My involvement in local clubs has allowed me to meet many Wellesley women across all age groups. It never ceases to amaze me what a great community we are. I eagerly attend all our reunions and am really looking forward to the 50th. Last year, the Class of ‘73 had 97% attendance at reunion. I hope we can make a similarly strong showing for our 50th!

Where was your favorite spot on campus?

I really hope we can encourage everyone to come to this milestone event. There are people I haven’t seen in years and would love to reconnect!
