March 26 2021 Message: Virtual Mini Reunions, Donate, Volunteer

Hello classmates!

We had a great time at our first virtual mini reunion on February 27. There were 48 of us who met by Zoom from coast-to-coast, the UK and Mexico! Thank you Mary Flannery for hosting and for juggling IT. Our one-hour call ended up going nearly two hours. We were inspired to hear from so many on what you’ve been up to.

Our next virtual mini reunion will most likely be in August or September. Stay tuned for information closer to the date.

In the meantime, here are a few ways you can get involved:

Support Wellesley! – Let's focus on participation and show our college and other classes what the Class of 1980 can do! As of today, we are at 21.4% participation. Let's get to 40% participation by June 30, 2021 (the end of Wellesley's fiscal year). We only need 100 more classmates to contribute any size donation in the next three months. Let's do it! Our goal is to build our participation every year and get to over 50% participation by our reunion in 2025.

Volunteer – Many hands make light work! We need more volunteers to help with fundraising. If you can donate a few hours a few times a year, please contact Andrea Furey at andreafurey@msn.com.  

Host the next virtual mini reunion – Would you like to do this? Maybe do it with another classmate? Pick a theme (e.g., dorm, major, encore career, wellness, cooking) or do more general catching up.
