You are invited to the Wellesley Club of Hawaii's

Annual Meeting

at Mid-Pac Country Club in Kailua, Oahu

 

All Wellesley alumnae, students, and ohana are invited.

 

The meeting will feature lunch and a talk by Amanda C. Pope, Wellesley College alumna and Professor of Cinematic Arts at University of Southern California: Division of Film & Television Production.

During the meeting we will also confirm the 2019 slate of club officers. If you are interested in joining the board in any capacity, large or small, the club would be happy to have your participation!

The cost of lunch for alumnae is $25 per person. There is no cost for current students. Payments may be made via cash, check, or credit card at the door. Please RSVP to Leah Lee or via forthcoming Paperless Post invitation.

Emmy Award winning Director Amanda Pope's directing, producing, writing, and editing credits for over 30 years have focused on the dynamics of creativity in the arts and social activism. Her films Jackson Pollock Portrait, Stages: Houseman Directs Lear, and Cities for People were broadcast nationally on PBS. She directed The Legend of Pancho Barnes and the Happy Bottom Riding Club, honored with a 2010 Los Angeles Emmy in the arts and culture/ history category; and directed, produced and wrote with Tchavdar Georgiev, The Desert of Forbidden Art, broadcast in 2011 on PBS’ Independent Lens, nominated twice at the 33rd Annual Emmy News & Documentary awards, and given CINE’s Masters Award for Excellence in Independent Filmmaking.
