 Here is a description of what the various committees do:





Chair: Albina Thakkar ’03

Every year Wellesley Club of Houston alumnae help the College with admissions by attending high school college fairs, interviewing applicants, and attending prospective student events.



A special interest group that will meet monthly to explore various types of arts, crafts and hobbies.

Book Club

Chair: Missy Moore '60

The book club meets on the third Saturday of the month at a member's home at 11 AM. Books are suggested by members.


Chair: Rachel Kronenberger '12 

The club has a variety of communication tools that are used to keep in touch with the alums and dues paying members of the club. These include email blasts, newsletters, website, and Facebook.


Community Outreach

Chair: Katharina Dechert '10

The Wellesley Club of Houston aims to give back to the Houston community and participates in several community outreach projects each year, such as Day to Make A Difference, and our Holiday Tea in December.





Welcomes new arrivals in the Houston chapter and orients them to the Houston Club offerings. Coordinates work of decade and geographical reps.



Chair: Angeles Garcia Cassin '09

Develops ideas for programs and coordinates the arrangements, such as communication, location and food.


Young Alums


Represents the interests of the young alums. The young alums usually participate in a variety of meet-ups, such as potluck brunches, scavenger hunts, and the Houston Interclub, a multi-college social that meets each month.
