Dear fellow Wellesley alums,
A warm welcome to the UK!
The Wellesley Club UK is one of the College’s largest alumnae groups outside the US,with more than 400 alums around the country. The Club board is based in London; we have representatives in Oxford, Cambridge, and Scotland.
Many of us work in financial services in The City, but you can also find us in technology, the arts, academia, law, fashion, and FMCG and giving our time to not-for-profit organizations. Many are mothers with years of experience guiding children through the British educational system. Like London, we are multi-cultural, multi-lingual, dynamic and inspiring.
So whether you’re after advice on the practical matters of being an expat here and settling into a new home, guidance on your next career move or further studies, tips on enjoying London or would just want to make new friends, the Club is here for you.
We have an active program of events* throughout the year including regular drinks evenings (currently on Zoom), careers panel discussions, an expat tax/finance matters series, cultural outings, lectures from Wellesley professors, joint activities with the Seven College Conference, young alum brunches, community service days and our Annual Thanksgiving celebration. And of course, we support the College with outreach on admissions and juniors studying abroad. The Club is always happy to welcome new volunteers and ideas. When you arrive, be sure to update the College and send me an email so we can meet for tea (virtually for now)! We look forward to welcoming you in person.
