At the Wellesley Club UK’s celebration of its 45th anniversary, which also marked the European launch of the Wellesley Effect Campaign, a group of alums suggested the Club make a special gift to the College to support the Campaign's goals. The Club board loved the idea, and researched appropriate funding opportunities.
Shabbat Across the Miles is an event in which alums around the world get together for Shabbat at the same time. The idea is to host events that build connections among alumnae who live near each other, while being a part of our global Jewish community.

Each year Club awards a travel research grants (£500) to juniors studying abroad in the UK. Applicants are offered the opportunity to expand their research to another city, enroll in a special class, attend a conference or accept an internship. The 2019 grant was won by then-Wellesley junior Megan Ruppel. Here she describes how she used the grant for a marathon visit to museums across Europe.

Our experts will review the basics (tax filing deadlines, FBARs, domicile, etc.) and provide information on relevant UK tax and pension legislation.
On Saturday, November 17th, the Club held its annual Thanksgiving potluck in the Embassy Gardens Eagle Lounge. The event provided an opportunity for alumnae, guests, and visiting juniors to connect, reconnect, and give thanks over a bounteous Thanksgiving spread.
Following the success of the Oxford Welcome Tea for juniors, a group of local alumnae and current Wellesley juniors met for a tour of the Oxford University Press museum and library with an archivist.
On Sunday, October 20th the Club hosted a tea with current students at Wellesley's Slater International Center.
