Private Tour of Kew Gardens

Please join us for a guided walk around spectacular Kew Gardens!

Wellesley Club UK invites you to join us for a private tour of Kew Gardens. This event will be held on Saturday, April 20th, from 10:30am. You can register to attend here

We will embark on a private guided tour of Kew Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which stretches almost 326 acres. Recognized worldwide for "housing the largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections" around the globe, Kew Gardens is a spectacular sanctuary that lies just 30 minutes from Central London. We will spend 90 minutes with a guide who will show us the best bits of this famous attraction and answer questions.

While there will be some flexibility on the route for our day, highlights of the Gardens include the Princess of Wales Conservatory and its 10 different climatic zones, a soaring treetop walkway, tranquil water lily pond and the Broad Walk, believed to be the longest herbaceous borders in Europe.

Feel free after the tour to spend the rest of the day exploring Kew's many sensational gardens and iconic listed buildings, including the spectacular Temperate House and Kew Palace —George III’s private retreat.

We will meet at Kew Gardens Victoria Gate at 10:30 for group entry. The tour will depart at 10:45 from the Information Desk in Victoria Plaza.

There is a £5 charge for the tour for alums; the Club will subsidize the rest of the cost. There is a £10 charge for guests. If you have any questions please email Amy Englehardt with the Club's events team (amy.englehardt@gmail.com).

We look forward to seeing you on April 20th!
