Please join the Wellesley Club of Minnesota for the 2018 Annual Meeting. This favorite annual tradition includes lunch, a lecture from a visiting Wellesley professor, an update on club operations, and time spent with friends. If you are new to Minnesota or hoping to connect with more Wellesley women, this is a perfect opportunity.

Our lecture this year is “Your Mother Was a Neandertal (And That’s Ok!): The Contemporary Perspectives on Human Origins” by Professor Adam Van Arsdale, Associate Professor of Anthropology at Wellesley College.  His talk will cover new research using ancient DNA (extracted from fossils) and new fossil finds, and what that research reveals about the origin of our species. It will also touch on Professor Van Arsdale’s research at Wellesley. He was recently selected as a National Geographic Explorer and will be beginning a project in Kazakhstan this summer on this topic. You can learn more about Professor Van Arsdale here.
