New book discussions begin May 18.

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Wellesley College Alumnae Association Book Club! In this online community, alums can connect with each other and enjoy books from a range of genres. There is no cost to participate – you just have to obtain a copy of the book to enjoy.

How it works The book club will connect through a private online forum where you can discuss the current book and network with each other. The group will spend approximately two months on each book, so you'll have plenty of time to read.

The book club will be managed by PBC Guru. PBC Guru manages professional book clubs for companies and alumni associations and will be moderating the group to help make this program a great experience for all participants.

Book choices  The third book selection is Vanishing Half: A Novel by Brit Bennett.

The second book selection was Caste:The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson.

The first book selection was The Other Americans, by Laila Lalami, which was also the common campus read for Wellesley first-year students during their winter break.

For future reads, participants will vote among several options each period. The registration form includes the option to make suggestions on titles and topics.

Why join? We hope you'll be excited to participate in our book club to connect with other alums, be a part of a lifelong learning community, and enjoy the benefits of reading.

Questions? Please send an email to with any questions about the book club or visit their website at to see more of what they do.
