What Do I Need To Know To Join A Nonprofit Board?
Over the past year, many have been feeling the need to make an impact, and want to give back to their communities. Serving on a nonprofit board is a great way to help. The appeal of giving your time, talent and treasure to a nonprofit that serves a cause or community you care about has its own intrinsic rewards. It can also provide opportunities for your personal and professional development. Additionally, Wellesley alumnae represent a category of board member that organizations need to diversity their boards – by experience, expertise, and perspectives, and community voice – and they are looking to do so.

Wellesley Alumna, Dr. Jenny Chang, shares her experience spearheading an initiative with her residency program at Jacobi Montefiore EM Residency to provide COVID patients with donated iPads so that they can have a virtual visitation with their loved ones while they are hospitalized.
