Come hear Lois Wasserspring, former Senior Lecturer Emerita in Political Science, give her talk, The Paradox of Mexico: Understanding Our Neighbor in the Age of Trump.
Prof. Wasserspring retired in 2016 after teaching for 36 years at Wellesley. Her focus is in comparative politics, focusing on Latin America. She founded the Latin American Studies at Wellesley and co-directed the program for over two decades. She also has found an interest in Mexican folk art, especially by the women in rural Oaxaca, Mexico, who struggle economically despite receiving national and international fame as artisans.
The talk will be on Saturday April 14th from 3:00-4:30pm at the San Marino Library.
Admitted students (Class 2022) are welcome to attend with family! Just RSVP under young alum. :)
