Faculty Speaker - Jacki Musacchio, Professor of Art

Join us for a presentation about the 1914 College Hall fire, a pivotal event in Wellesley College history

From 1875, for 39 years, College Hall was Wellesley College. That immense presence overlooking Lake Waban took four years to build. But early on March 17 one hundred years ago, it took only four hours to burn.  Please join us to hear a presentation by Professor of Art, Jacki Musacchio, about how this devastating event shaped the College.

A light lunch will be served, and we’ve also invited the local students accepted for the class of 2019.  Here’s an event in which you can see Wellesley’s history and Wellesley’s future!

PLEASE NOTE:  We need a few volunteers for set-up (arranging furniture and luncheon, greeting guests) and clean-up (putting furniture back, collecting trash in bags and cleaning up).  Please let us know in your RSVP if you can help out.

The Details

We’re holding the event at Ludington Library at 5 South Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bryn Mawr, PA.  There is parking in the library parking lot.  If that lot is full, there is a municipal lot directly across Lancaster Avenue.  Also, the Bryn Mawr Septa Station for the Paoli-Thorndale Regional Line is just 2 blocks away from the library.
