Join the New York Chapter of the Wellesley Asian Alumnae Alliance for a special luncheon and guided tour with Amy Chu, Class of 1989, of the Chinese Exclusion Act exhibit: Chinese American: Exclusion/Inclusion at the New York Historical Society on Saturday, April 11th.
After graduating from Wellesley, Amy cofounded an Asian American magazine before becoming the Executive Director of the Asian American Arts Alliance, and then Harvard Business School. Today, Amy is the co-founder of Alpha Girl Comics and a freelance writer for DC Comics. She is the writer of the comic featured in Chinese American: Exclusion/Inclusion that chronicles three generations of the Chins, a Chinese American family.
We'll be starting with a relaxing lunch at Caffe Storrico (Located in the museum. We are currently working on getting a large group reservation here so check in again in a few days to see if there are any changes!) at noon followed by a personalized tour from Amy herself through the exhibit. Join us for this very exciting opportunity to learn more about Chinese American history with an alumnae who helped build the exhibit itself! (The prices below are a special discount rate for our group!)
