Bedford Historical Society Tour on Saturday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m.
Evelyne Ryan, the Executive Director of the Bedford Historical Society, joined by Stacy Albanese '89, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bedford Historical Society, will lead us on a historical and architectural walking tour of Bedford Village.  Our tour includes a visit to the 1829 one-room schoolhouse and also the 1787 Court House that has a museum of local history on the second floor.  There are many nearby historical sights which will be covered on the tour.  To read about the organization, click here.

Tickets for the tour cost $20 for Wellesley-in-Westchester members and $25 for non-members. Click here to buy tickets!!!
If you prefer to pay by check, please make it payable to Wellesley-in-Westchester and mail before September 9th to:

Linda Ury Greenberg

21 Brookridge Road

New Rochelle, NY 10804

Feel free to join us for lunch after the tour at 1:00 p.m. at Bedford 234, just a block away on the same street.  We will order off the menu.    RSVP by Friday, September 9th to  Linda Ury Greenberg at linda.ury.greenberg99@gmail.com to let us know if you're staying for lunch and bringing a friend.

Please be aware there are stairs to reach the second floor museum at the Court House.

Date:  Saturday, September 16th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., followed by lunch (optional)
Where:  If the weather is good, we will meet at the Bedford Green sign (see photo above) on the Village Green across from the Fire House (34 Village Green) in Bedford, NY at 10:50 a.m. for an 11:00 tour start time.  If it is raining, we will meet at Historical Hall, 608 Old Post Road.

The map below shows the Village and parking areas.  Street parking is limited to one hour, so it is best to park either behind the Bedford Presbyterian Church - in the middle, not along the fence which is marked permit parking only - or in the lot off Court Road, behind the Playhouse building where we will have lunch at Bedford 234 after  the walking tour.
